Socially Functional is a meetup group for programmers that like to chat/scheme/vent about functional programming. It is also known as Functional Alcoholics, which is a hilarious pun except when people see it out of context and think you have a drinking problem. We have weekly hacking sessions at a coffee shop, and bar meetups at fairly random intervals. If you have an idea for a good bar or other venue, post it!

A meetup should ideally center around a topic which (1) contains some interesting core idea, (2) helps us get stuff done, (3) is reasonably accessible to people without a ton of OCaml experience (but who might be familiar with other MLs, Haskell, Scheme, etc...)
